EG Capital has been awarded expansion stage grant and acceleration support by Convergence Blended Finance through the Blended Finance Accelerator for Fund Managers, funded by Global Affairs Canada | Affaires mondiales Canada.
This award will support the launch and scale-up of our Economic Empowerment Fund (EG-EEF), a blended finance debt fund investing in small and medium-sized enterprises for supply chain security and resilience in Africa, with a strong emphasis on job creation, gender inclusion, climate adaptation, and intra-Africa regional trade.
EG Capital makes private debt investments in mid-sized businesses in Food Security, Health Resilience, Emergency Response and Human Capital (incl Ed-tech) across East Africa and the SADC Region.
