EG Capital is committed to investing in high growth and purpose-led businesses in some of the world’s fastest growing markets
WHAT WE DO
Creating regional champions to grow and endure
EG Capital makes private debt investments in mid-sized businesses in Food Security, Health Resilience, Emergency Response and Human Capital (incl Ed-tech) across East Africa and the SADC Region. Our cross-sector approach to investment drives private capital into high-growth industries which directly impact supply chain security and resilience.
What we invest in
We typically invest between $2m to $10m in capital, bringing operational and management experience that enables our companies to achieve their ambitious goals. We look for investee companies with intra-Africa regional trade potential to scale to become ‘regional champions’, with the right intangible assets to grow and endure.
Our local team
Our local team work side-by-side with our portfolio companies, applying their on-the-ground knowledge and experience to build profitable expansion strategies, to strengthen capabilities and to improve performance.
Result
In this way, we are able to secure competitive risk adjusted returns for our investors, whilst delivering long-term impact for supply chain security and resilience.
HOW WE INVEST
Bringing people, capital and ideas together
We are supported by industry-leading executives, investment committee members, special advisors and operating partners. Our global network of co-investors, business partners and sector specialists add significant value to our investments.
